Finally got the last check for my contingency winnings from the race in Portland on Aug 28th (Bully Dog, Flex-A-Lite & Yukon Gear had to be prodded), so I went down to the credit union to deposit them. They wanted to charge me $15 to process the $25 check I got from MBRP because it was from Canada

The teller waived the fee when I asked to speak to a supervisor, but it still kinda ticked me off...I've only been a member there since '79.

What's the difference between a check that originates from outside the US and one that originates here? Why the $15 bucks? I never got those answers, though maybe one of you folks might know.

I got charged $85 dollars by BofA to "investigate" a check that bounced when I deposited it. Then they said I was a 'threat' to them and I was never allowed to be a BofA customer again. Good riddance. My parents are still with BofA and its nothing but problems. And out home loan (which is in forclosure) is ALLL messed up because of BofA. Not to mention they are now charging like $5 month to use a debit card

Sigh... I have WF now and havnt had many problems, and when I did they usually fixed it for me pretty quickly.

Yeah I have to wax and buff it. I have some surface scratches..
Dont get me wrong, I like the white. But I have owned 3 white trucks and it gets a little boring since white is the most popular color, ya know. But its not a big deal.

Not sure I want to book this trip, although the unlimited Chips, Salsa & Guacamole is a pretty strong draw:

Marc,

This is kinda' close-by...

This is for those of you that live, or have lived, in the San Fernando
Valley (or at least know where it is).

OK, so I'm reading the Reseda Neighborhood Council weekly newsletter
this afternoon, and I see where the Winnetka Chamber of Commerce is
holding an Oktoberfest this weekend in Winnetka Park. Fair enough?

I conjure up images of lederhosen and beer steins. You know, the St.
Pauli Girl kind of stuff.

There's a link to a flyer for it! Gotta' take a look, right?

See:
http://library.constantcontact.com/d...ktoberfest.pdf

Yea, I wanna' go tonight! Yea, right.......

I'm surprised to see Texas come out like that. After a loss like last night's I figured they would be done.

St Louis is hard to kill.
