Making some progress over here. I am so glad I got rid if my 07 f150 and found this beast. $6500. 111,000 duelly flatbed 8'x8', 4x4 CC, MT, PTO driven front winch. I like to be able to work on my own rigs and not have to take them to someone all the time. I got some serious cleaning to do. I will be getting some pictures up soon. I got a pretty good mess on the top of the motor. Ha ha ha

Does it have a Dana 60 front end conversion or a Dually rear end conversion?

Ford did not make a 4x4 dually crew cab back then, that's why it was asked.
Though you'll probably never know if the front axle was swapped or it was converted to duals.
Most likely they started with single wheel 4x4 and it was converted to duals.

that's what I was thinking Jim. There is a 4x4 dually in town here that I see once in awhile and it looks really good. they look agressive when level and with AT or MT tires. If beds were easier to find I would consider it although it makes no sense for what I do with the truck as it is.

Should I install an oil pressure switch for my fuel pump. I noticed a few guys did. What is the reasoning and where and how to install correctly. Thanks

Purpose is to ensure oil pressure is up before pump starts or if engine dies (crash or something) the pump stops. I'm not sure it's all that necessary with these rigs though since we have a recirculating system. When I finally get around to doing it probably won't use one but will install, what the heck is it called .. brain fart .. little device installed on the firewall that trips on fender benders or major head on, for safety. Since our rigs can't start until high pressure oil comes up to a certain value can't see the advantage.

Probably something to do with not pumping fuel all over the place if you get in an accident and brake a fuel line.

Your thinking of the inertia sensor. I opted for the oil pressure switch when I did mine. Not sure if there's a real difference between the two as they will both serve the same purpose in the end.

Actually, the oil PSI switch will not allow the fuel pump its wired to (or other electrical device) to run if it does not "read" the switches minimum pressure to close the circut. The inertia switch (or rollover switch) is intended to stop (shut off/cut power to) the electric fuel pump (or other electrical device) it is wired to.
What does this mean? OIL PSI SWITCH: 1) If in an accident and the engine is running it will continue to run until the vehicle is manually turned off, the engine runs out of fuel, the oil pressure drops below the minimum required pressure of the oil PSI switch, or the vehicle stalls. 2) Under "normal" conditions, the fuel pump will not run/turn on until the oil PSI reaches the minimum pressure closing the switch allowing the electrical signal to pass through the switch to the pump (or electrical device). INERTIA SWITCH: 1)If in an accident (and switch is mounted & wired correctly) over X MPH (I don't know how fast the MPH or deceleration needs to be I'm not the design engineer) the sudden deceleration is 'supposed' to cause the switch to activate (pop up) causing a disruption to the fuel pump (or electrical device) so the vehicle does not continue to be fueled, preventing a runaway OR a fuel spill at very high PSI, shutting the vehicle down. 2) Under "normal" conditions you will forget/not know where the switch is located and not have your owners manual in the vehicle (because the first thing everyone does is remove it and put it in the bathroom vanity so you have something to read while you sit & think, HA HA) and something will bump it and cause it to activate. This usually happens around X-mas time when my wife has gone shopping & stuffed too much crap in the trunk next to the switch.
Used to do auto body when the inertia switches were fazed in in the 80's what a pain at first to get used to. BUT friends of mine that are volunteer firefighters tell me they were a God send w/ the electronic fuel systems & high fuel PSI they can put out. One of the guys has damage to his forearm from the high fuel PSI cutting trough his fire coat, & sleeve before damaging his body.
Sorry, I got on my soap box again.
