I am convinced they have run out of ideas, everything is going full circle. 47 meters below was just another "Jaws" movie, Spaceballs 2, War on planet of the apes, IT, etc.. etc..
I give 47 meters about an 8 out of 10. It was decent, but predictable, except for the ending... there really wasn't one. The movie just stopped. The end.
Amazing how Hollywood recycles so much stuff when there are so many interesting stories that could be told. When they do tell a story based on fact, some doofus decides to change the story to make it "interesting" or fit a political slant and end up with something less interesting than the real story. End of rant.
If Hollywood had to depend on me to survive it would have been gone a long time ago. I don't see many movies in the theatre.
We typically don't see many in theaters, its just been that ones we wanted to see came out recently, and we were anxious to see them.
I have two movie theaters at home, one in the garage, for winter, and one I set up outside for summer nights, and I really like watching movies at home.
Yeah my wife and I are die hard star wars fans and I like to see them on the big screen-- but she thinks there are getting to be too many (one a year for the next 7 years) Disney is now making all the classic cartoons live action- Cinderella- Beauty and the beast- so next will be Pinocchio and bambie-- although they made Maleficent the witch from sleeping beauty and it was pretty good. I would like to see a few more realistic westerns- not cowboys vs aliens type of thing--
I want them to make one about off-roading in Colorado, with beautiful scenery, adventures, mistakes, mishaps, luck, jokes around the campfire, real to life, and I want it played in the IMAX Theater. I want it crystal clear video, with awesome surround sound and I want people that I know to be the characters in the video.
I don't want much, just not exactly a Hollywood movie, but a real to life movie.
