Yeah. I go to bed about the same time kiddos do, and Julie stays up and watches TV. I typically on any given week, get to watch about 3 television shows that I want to watch, and maybe about 3 movies, either weekend or evening. I just wish I could hook roku up out in the garage, and watch it on the big screen.
What's the reason you can't? We have the Xbox 360 and Amazon Fire TV stick hooked up to downstairs projector and they work great. Both through HDMI
Gotcha, one last option would be to use a computer since they typically have VGA\Audio jack outputs. Then you could pop a DVD in the drive, pull up a movie on Netflix, watch a video on Youtube, etc.
You have a good point, I could do that, but an adapter and a Roku, or Apple TV would be pretty easy to wire in as well. I just didn't want to spend a lot of money yet, because I don't know how much time I will have to use it. I put together what I have so far for free, just stuff I had left over.
Chad, if you still have the Idiocracy movie, I would still like to borrow it.
I'm an avid fan so I pay for "Motor Trend On Demand" to view the episodes right when they come out (vs. waiting a month for it to release to Youtube)
They also have several other shows that aren't showed on Youtube (like Roadkill Garage, Roadkill Extra, etc.) so I semi-justify the $5 a month subscription. I mostly just like to support his type of automotive entertainment
Yep I was just saying they were released on Netflix-- We cut out allot of expenses recently-- just stuff we don't need-- I no longer have cable- and only PAY for Netflix (not to say that there isn't um other ways of watching stuff) we went from $200 a month to about $40 because of our internet plan. ( high speed- lower price) There are several other things we are doing without too- I cut my lunches back to once a week but I don't really miss them-- I just want to save up for a camper and car trailer-- Maybe put a for sale sign on the yellow truck -- maybe not-- we will have our house paid off in a little while so we are on the right track- I have Calista college to save up for and she will want a decent car fro school in about 7 years-- and I don't really have that long until retirement- I mean it seems like a ton of time but I am sure it will creep on me-- and they say you should have 1.2 million for retirement saved up--- When I started my retirement planning the goal was $750,000 to have saved up so I am already 1/2 a million behind. :-) Story of my life always a day late and a dollar short :-)
I watched the old Charleton Heston movie, The Mountain Men, last night on tv. It was ok but had a lot of cliches. I have an old Muzzleloader magazine around here with an article that was written when the movie was made back in the '70s.
