I watched In the Heart of the Sea on tv at the daughter's house this weekend in between times while taking care of her critters. It was good and is somewhat the story Moby Dick.
I finally decided I would watch the last portion of "Sausage Party" and I feel dumber for finishing it, but we had started it a long time ago, and I basically walked out on it. I remember starting the movie late in the evening and thinking to myself, "I am staying up late for this?"
oh... you left that wide open. I guess I will behave myself.
I started watching one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies last night. For years I had told myself I had no interest in them, but have started to enjoy them somewhat recently. I was sitting at the dance studio on a couch, waiting on Sophia to get through her lesson, and had my headphones on, so that I wouldn't disturb anyone else. The lady sitting next to me kept commenting to me about the movie, and how she liked it, and needed to see it again, etc.. etc.. I kept having to stop the movie every time she had a thought to share. I wanted to ignore her, but thought she might see it as rude, which is what I was thinking of her each time she would try to talk to me. Why do people do that? I was only using one cushion of the couch and she was using two, and watching over my shoulder. I'm not anti-social, as most of you know, but I don't put in headphones to inspire a conversation.
I started a movie "In search of Fellini" and I am not even sure why I picked it, other than it had the lady from "Coyote Ugly" that ran the bar. I though to myself, she is a pretty decent actress, surely this movie can't be too bad. Well... I'm about an hour into it, and still can't wrap my head around it. Maybe it will get better.
Finished the entire series of "Shameless" last night on Netflix. Have to say it was one of the most highly entertaining, laughable, and emotional series that I have ever seen. Took me exactly 4 months to watch the whole thing by myself, now I don't know what to watch next...
We watched Downsizing last night, but I couldn't keep my eyes awake, so I went to bed. I started it over again while on the treadmill. I continued on it till the movie was finished. I knocked out about 6 miles.. it was a slow walk, but it was a little over two hours of walking. We then watched "Father Figures" which was pretty funny most of the way through it. Its about a set of twins looking for their biological father.
We also knocked out Jumanji (SP?) which was a hit an miss funny, but overall a pretty decent movie.
We own all of the Saw Movies except the most recent. I don't think its out on DVD yet but we did see it in the theater. It is one of those that really kind of messes with your mind.
