I'm not sure what year your truck is, but I assume your 5yr/100k emissions warranty is expired, and you are on an extended warranty plan. If you happen to still be on the original warranty, I would approach this as an emissions problem. Then they cannot ignore smoke.
This is a bunch of crap, because these trucks should not smoke, and something is obviously wrong. Really sucks that you have to pay to fix it, but warranty or not, sometimes that is what it comes down to.
I know one thing, if it were me, that damned Ford shop would not be doing the repair. Screw 'em and take it somewhere else, or do it yourself.
My truck is an 06, the in service date was 11/05 so yes I am timed out on my 5/100k, its only got 66k on it. I am covered undr my premium care warranty until feb. I hesitate to bring it to another dealer because the one I use, who normally treats me and my truck great is mod friendly, and lets just say I have a few mods.
I worry that if I bring this truck to another dealer that the warranty will be flagged for mods, Im not sayin it should or shouldnt be, but I havent run a tune in this truck in a long while, so I dont feel that this smoke issue would be cause by the tuner, I dont want this thread turned into you play you pay...I know.
The truck has never had an injector replaced on it in 66k, so instead of pursuing the issue and having a FSE come and potentially flag the warranty and be on the hook for a repair I can do anyway I figured I would suck it up.
The only thing I toss around in my head is do I run it longer the way it is and hope the injector fails to the point it will throw a code or show up on a contribution test...I dont know. My mind fights me on that.
On the other hand I just feel I need to fix this thing with all new injectors for a reputable builder and end the madness. Its hard for me to pull up to a customers house with a truck billowing smoke and Im supposed to fix there 69 Camaro. Its just embarassing and I dont want my buisness to give that impression. Maybe my customers dont see me that way, but I feel my truck is a direct reflection on me, my abaility as a professional technition, and my reputation.
Maybe I am going to far and beating myself up but I dont want my truck to smoke. Does it run good, yup runs like a raped ape.
Anyone dealt with Full Foce diesel ? I am pulling a trump card and having a buddy talk to the service manager at his dealer to see what if anything they can do for me. I hate doing this but the thought of spending 2995 on injectors right now doesnt sit well with me...especially knowing it should be fixed and covered under my warranty.
I will see what the new dealer comes back with, and Im sorry to say if they fix my truck they will have earned my buisness, present and future, bith service, if and when the time comes, sales too.
If I hear nothing I will dive into this and talked to both the guys at Full Force, and Casserly, the injectors are the same price, and carry the same warranty so I will go with the recomened Casserly.

Both were great to talk to and very professional.
Thanks for listening,

Full Force and Casserly are one and the same. Ryan Casserly is the owner of FFD. He's a super great guy to talk to and his customer service is second to none.
As for the kit: It's for both sides and the standpipes and dummy plugs have back up rings added to the o-rings to help prevent failures.
I called full force in TN and they had no idea who Casserly was, then I googled Casserly and found the folks you recomended, they are on the west coast.
My truck is at another dealer in the area that agreed to take a look at it and assured me that if a FSE came in to look at it my mods would have no bearing on warranty coverage. They called just as I was going to pick up the phone and order my 155's. I will give them a shot, if they cant fix it I will...at that point let the mods begin, cause Im gonna buy the Power Max too, and I may even stud it since this is all on my dime.
The truk is running well and no longer smokes like a freight train. Heres the down low on the repairs. The truck had an air leak at the turbo, the turbo oil seal was leaking, and the EBS needed to be replced. Lets see if I cn decipher the repair order and I'll list what I can.
Not sure what these parts are other than the sensor:
Well I have to say that the Folks at Morris Ford did a good job and fixed the truck in 2 days. Looks like I found a new dealer for the remainder of the ESP, and if the time comes when I need to replce my 06, I will give them an opportunity to make the sale.

I don't know who the folks on the west coast are but I wouldn't recommend them. The only Full Force Diesel I know is in Murfreesboro,Tn. and it's Ryan Casserly who owns the them. I have him on speed dial.......
