So for the interior I'm going the cheap route as well, just scuffed up all the panels and trim pieces and spray painted them with SEM color coat, Titanium Metallic. At first the color was a little much on the panels outside of the truck, but once I did the dash and everything I think it turned out pretty good. Now for the bezel around the gauges and radio (which were wood grain) I just scuffed those, primed them, and painted them gloss black. Doesn't look like I have pictures of those but will post some here shortly. I just went and picked up a new dash pad cover and rubber flooring from LMC this last week. LMC by the way is less than two miles from where I work so it makes it extremely handy and man I could go NUTS in that place!! As for my gauges I just cleaned them up a bit and took model paint and painted the needles. I also need some new seat beats- I don't really trust these seat belts and they are tan so I don't believe they will match the interior that well either, so if anyone has replaced their seat belts and had good luck with that brand feel free to let me know. As for putting everything back together I need to fix a little cancer in the rocker panels on each side. Any ideas are welcome in patching the rocker areas without buying all new rockers etc...thought about getting some sheet metal and bending some to fit and weld in that way? Hope you all enjoy.
I am really enjoying following your work. Keep it up!
The model paint used for the instrument needles... is it the flourescent kind? I have read that if not, then the needles show up as dark or black when illuminated by the dash lights.

Thanks, it has been fun so far, got the bed off the other day so I need to get some pictures posted here shortly on that. As for the needles I guess I'll have to use my motorcycle motta "if you are getting passed you're going to slow and if you are passing everyone you are going to fast!"

A few weeks ago had my dad around so we decided to tackle getting the bed off of the truck. As for the floor of the bed, I'm going to have some new braces made and weld in some sheet metal for the floor, or try and find a damaged bed and cut the floor out of that and use it. I'm not going back to the wood floor for the sheer fact that I plan on using this truck to the fullest, so I plan on trying out the Al's liner. From what I've read on here and a few other forums it sounds like a pretty good kit. Has anyone had experience with it? Thanks for looking.
Blue Rebel - Thanks for that. Maybe they'll fit mine like that as well.
Trent/Monte1go - It's 220 miles and 4 hours for me, and it is an easy drive. Maybe I'll go some time. Is there a lot to look at or just turn-in-your-ticket-at-the-window?
Well haven't posted much lately, got distracted a bit on a side project. However I finally got the patch panels cut out, just need to bend them and tack them into place then I should be able to finish up the floor.
