So these are the only pictures I can come up with for the rest of the motor install. Kind of disappointing but I guess it is going to have to work. And the air cleaner will be getting switched out shortly!!
Trent - What headers are you running? They point straight back, which is better then some, but look like the exhaust pipes will go below the transmissions rear mount.
I'm considering headers, but many have said there are few, if any, that fit properly. So, I'm asking questions.
Gary-Hopefully those aren't the Mr. Gasket Valve Pan Covers...I have a set on my 351w.....They SUCK A**.....For lack of better words...Thin....Simple as that....
Otherwise, LOVE THE BUILD....That 2 tone is SWEET......
Also, Pacesetter Headers are about the best fitting headers for our style of trucks...

I'm running a full length flow tech header, I will either be fabbing up a new cross member or customize this one to work. But either way the exhaust will be running below it.
Haha yes all the bushing need to be replaced. They all are horrible, hopefully get them all replaced with the new drop beams. Plan on ordering all new bushing for the entire truck so that should be fun!!

Would those be Flowtech 12504FLT's? If so, that answers a question I was getting ready to post. I'd really like to find a header that ends high enough that the exhaust can go above the crossmember. Thanks.
Just curious but what size tires you planning on running? Love to see pics when you get the drop beams and tires on. Thinking about doing that with mine but don't know how it would look.

Correct, ya I would guess it would have to be some sort of a shortly header in order for that to work, but I could be wrong as well.
I just came across this video on my previous phone and I know it's horrible quality, but this is right after the motor was installed. Not bad for all the brakes still hung up on it.
Man that is one nice truck. I wish my 85 was that nice looking. But I'm a fan of the long box. But I would not walked away from that one..
Keep us posted on your project.
