So.....it has been FOREVER since I posted or done any work to the old truck, but luckily I got a few of my projects done around the house and it's been so hot that no grass is growing, so that means I have some time to get some work done. So first order of business was to order some drop shocks and stop by LMC to pick up some tie rod ends, drag link etc...to be able to rebuild the whole front end. Next I spent a few days scuffing and cleaning the frame in order to apply Eastwoods rust converter and and rust encapsulator. These products are awesome and easy to use. Next and last step of the frame is to top coat with some paint and its ready for reassembly. Enough with the chit chat, time for pics! The first picture of the frame is the rust converter and the next will be the encapsulator. Hope you all enjoy.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a new gas filler tube? I've been looking around and just haven't found any for the flareside beds. All input would be appreciated. Thanks

How about a marine gas tank filler hose? Won't have the vent tube with it, but can you salvage yours? The marine hoses are flexible and come in different lengths.

I will get on that and start looking. Thanks for the info!!
So I'm starting to reassemble the front end and was wondering if anyone had a schematic they could send my way. I believe I have everything like it should be I just don't want to rely on my memory and/or the LMC catalog. Thanks for the help.
Just looked back at Page 1, it seems "the front end" could mean many different things - steering & suspension, body, electrical.
Can you be more specific? Also, what year is this thing?
ctubutis, yes it can mean many different things, and yes that is my fault. I'm looking for one with the break down of the ibeams, springs, shocks etc...I believe I've got everything back like it should. However just want to double check. Thanks
