Im am a noob at this so just a little patience...just bought a 1976 ford f250. Been running ok, ran out of fuel, put in more then re-started it. Ran for a minute then died. Continues to do so, or just wont start???
Probably sucked up some sediment from the fuel tank. Time to check and see if you have a bunch of crud in your tank. You may need to clean the in tank filter sock, blow out the lines and replace the fuel filter.
Yea, it probably sucked up some trash. I have no idea what carb you have, but if you have a stock 2 barrel on there it wouldn't hurt to replace the fuel filter that screws into the front it. You can also get you a clear inline fuel filter so you can see what the gas looks like when it's flowing.
So is the clear one all clogged up now or is it still clear? Does it have gas in it to show that the fuel pump is pumping gas up to the carb? Take the one off the carb and try to blow through it and see how much air gets through.
Sorry if those seem like stupid questions, I'm just thinking about process of elimination for the problem.
