News flash: The recent earthquake in Virginia was not that at all. Geologists have determined it was our Founding Fathers turning over in their graves...

Do you folks watch Top Shot on the History Channel? We like the show, and season 3 is off to a good start. The content has improved and the challenges are getting more complex in design.

Anyway, what I find amazing about the show is how far high speed videography has come in the last 20 years. I remember having a Kodak vendor come to my office and demonstrate their high speed video system just about 20 years ago. They were trying to sell it to us as a trouble shooting tool for machinery. The cost was going to be around $20k, and even at that it wasn't very practical. It seemed fast at the time, but not even close to what they are doing today. Showing a bullet in mid flight was out of the question. Now they are doing that in high def, and with ambient lighting. We've come a long way, baby!

Haven't seen it but you're sure right about camera technology.
The facilities companies that have to buy cameras for TV know that in six months their brand new shiny purchase will be out of date.

I've not seen that show many times, but always enjoyed it when I did.

On another note, these are wonderful. Wish I'd bought the big jar.

Where'd you get them? In Corning?

Y'know, they DO make 'em in Habanero, as well! Mmmmm!

I sampled one of the Habaneros and while it tasted really good, it's a little too hot for me.

I've got a bottle of Spontaneous Combustion in the kitchen that I sprinkle about four drops into soups. More than that really hurts, but the taste is kinda' addictive.

A bottle lasts a couple of years.
