Internally there wouldn't be much difference in the motors, just the cam most likely. The truck cam would work just fine in a car as its geared more for torque.
I had a mildy built 351m, that motor had lots of power!
I'm sure even my sick old motor has a lot of power still. On my thread I was walking about doing an np 205 swap and someone suggested I look into doing a 203/205 doubler t-case which would mean I have a 4.1 low gear instead of a 2.1 when I shift it real low. It's kind of geared for heavy trail riding but I think it would be really cool to do in the future.
Alright, I see some light at the end of this tunnel. It looks like the kid is just going to give me the truck back! Even better is I just found a 95 Bronco being parted out not too far away. Complete with Brush guard!
I also have my eyes on another truck. Its an 80 F250 351w 4x4. It has the 87 front clip on it and looks to be in mostly great shape. Im talking to the guy now. I may be able to get this truck for about 1000.
Lol yeah. I love the old Fords through and through.
It isnt looking too good for the Zebra however. I went and looked at it again. The door is toast, glass is gone so electronics are prolly toast there as well. The radiator core supprt is bent up pretty good too. So that'd need replaced. The heater core looks good tho the heater box is smashed. The rear quarter panel is also all banged up.
There are lots of great parts on it still tho. The truck is mechanically 100%. Well see how the cards fall tho. I would really like the EFI 351wand and the optima battery for the coupe. The headers could go on this other F250. Id have a ton of spare parts left tho. Hmm
