Anybody know some good things to do in Minnesota? Was thinking about checking out the mall of America, but other than that, I am not sure of biking or cliff jumping.
Found a better trail review site, apparently there is some good riding near mall of america, about 20 miles away in battle creek, think that I have found tomorrows destination!
Weather here in the UP of michigan is currently crappy, think I'll head for a hike, and a jump on canyon river falls, then go heads towards MN.
My denomination has a church in Battle Creek. Actually, I think my dad's father was a pastor there at some point. Glad you are slowly starting to get things sorted out.
Just got here to Minneapolis! Wow, Gotta say, Minnesota was dismal to drive in. Never seen people have so much difficulty merging down to one lane for an inactive work zone, not much traffic, in the middle of bum**** nowhere, then take another half hour of stop and go once down into one lane with nothing obstructing traffic flow other than there own stupidity, to get up to the posted work zone speed of 55 mph! Had to go through two sections of this! Baffles my mind!
I am looking forward to some biking tomorrow, that's for sure, gonna hop on the ol' mountain goat and tear up the trails!
Kinda sad that I didn't get to do any jumpng or hiking n UP of michigan today but the weather was just terrible!
Josiah, how long ago was that? Crazy how easy it is to find connections to someone you know, anywhere you are!
On another side note, I slept at walmart last night. Was good, tons of rvs around, no one bothered me, cooked my self a meal, had the best night of sleep yet in the van! There's one about 2.5 miles from where I am right now, I'll head there for the night!
I also wanted to jump Tahquamenon Falls (naturally!) would dfeinitely have done it, there was just no way to tell how deep the water was or if there were any rocks below! Looked like a nice solid 50 foot jump!
Great pics Kyle. How about some pics of the inside of the truck while camping?
The inside of the bus is a zoo! But I'll get a picture of it tonight for ya!
I am currently still around the minneapolis area. Went biking today, hit three different spots. First one, a local rider recommended, 4 fresh new miles of single track, nothing too difficult.
Second spot rode, really wasn't doing anything for me.
Third spot I rode was pretty sweet! Almost 9 miles of single track. The mid-west riding is interesting, there advanced trails have a lot of man made obstacles, ya know, rocks strategically setup, trees in piles, it was kinda like riding at home for a few seconds here and there, other than that, the trails are as smooth as roads! However, I did have a blast on the last batch of single track that I hit.
It was fun going over the boulders, logs rolls, drops, whoops. I don't think anyone local sees to many people ride like me. Everyone who I passed said I make it all look easy. Guess it's all relative to where you are used to riding.
Anyways, I will be here in Minneapolis area gain tonight, check I left behind to get deposited at home wont finish clearing til tomorrow, so the debit card is out of money, which means no gas for me!

You think its bad there, wait til you get to Utah. Rated number 2 for the worst drivers in the country. Gimme a holler if you need a place to crash when you get here.

You sound like a madman
My son was catchin 27` of air when he was 12 yrs old on his Honda. Sounds like you ride alike although we have motors
I've never even rode a dirtbike!
currently just rolled into sioux falls, SD. I'm glad to be out of MN. I am going to roll along over to the badlands national park after I get something to eat. My buddy told me to stop by this big car place on I90 so I'll check that out too!
Right now I am in the middle of south dakota at the pioneer auto show, had to come back out of the building after the first exhibit cause my camera dies, so I am charging it up right now!
Guess the annual sturgis bike rally is goin on too.
