Went to cedar point yesterday! I've always wanted to go there and ride all the coasters. I rode the majority of them. I didn't get to ride the massive wooden one, or the maverick. I really wasn't feeling up to those two since after I went on the blue corkscrew one. The cars were so small and seating position was very hunched over, left a lot of room to bounce around, took a nice shot to the spine from the car, back hurt all day after that!

I didn't take any pictures, I'm glad I didn't bother bringing the camera in. Almost lost my glasses on a few occasions! Currently I am up in grand rapids Michigan, staying at a friends place. Gotta figure out where exactly to go next! That wire that was disconnected in the bus before, was an o2 sensor. So I'm not sure if that was why the bus wouldn't start or not.

Since I hooked that thing back up, the bus was getting terrible mileage, so I re disconnected the thing, now my mileage is backup up being just under 20! Hopefully I won't have anymore running issues. But you never know, the VW is one quirky SOB. I'm just glad to be moving, and not getting 11mpg again! I think that o2 sensor must be bad!

Well holy crap surprise surprise, the bus will not start, again! VW forums seem to think it may be the ignition switch. So, once my friend gets back home, we are gonna go to autozone to go pick one up, and hopefully it will be fixed!

Ahahaha, I cracked up when I read that. Got it running again, but for how long who the **** knows. After the ignition switch, threw in a new coil, and new wires, she started.

Gonna have to think of a nickname for this van soon. Was thinking about lithium, 'cause that's what this van would need to stabilize it's no start behavior!

better start checking salvage yards along your journey. They could come in handy.

Well, after a new fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ignition switch, and coil, it lives, still had a problem today, staled out, refused to start back up. Some passer-by pulled over to help me, me checked for spark, ****in bus started on 3 cylinders. This thing has a mind of its own.

Noticed while it wouldn't start that the coil was super hot. I duct taped some foil to it to reflect the heat coming from the engine, hasn't stuttered since, lets hope it stays that way! VW guy told me that I should seek out an oem bosh coi instead of mycheap duralast one that I am currently using.

Well, right now, I am in upper michigan, in marquette. I traveled from grand rapids, up to traverse city, along M119, and continued along the coast, stopped by wilderness state park, then headed over the bridge to tahquamenon falls.

Veen a long day I'll load up pictures later, night everyone!

The westfalia package, it's got the stove, pop top, fold down bed, fridge, sink, good amount of storage, plus people get between 18-24 mpg with em!
