Lets see what I've got

Got this thing apart, now I need to know if it's a "FRANKENSTEIN" or what.
was advertised as a 360, but I think its a 390. Heres the casting# on the

Pistons

These are stamped 40 over , the first and second compression rings on 5
of them were broken , some of them in 4 or 5 spots !! probably failed to remove the ridge at the top of the cylinders ? and or incorrect ring size ?
and werent the 360 pistons full skirt ? I measure them at 4.088. #5 had a broken skirt but couldnt find it in the engine anywhere.

Damper

I think maybe they already have done what I was going to do, add a 390
crank and rods to the 360 for an increase in CI ? I measured the bore and stroke but not
accurately enough before I disassembled, 4.088 x 3.5 (ish)

Gears look good, need bearings and shaft seals. Novak conversions has a good rebuild kit for it, you can find em on the web.

Most difficult part is removing the front input shaft bearing race ! but just use a high speed and cut it down to the shaft housing ( short of cuting into it obviously) and that will loosen it up enough to get it off .
