Macgiobuin,
I though about you this morning while I was watching the weather. You guys are almost 10° higher down there this morning than we are here. Wow it's a warm morning there. Don't worry that "cool" front is on it's way. Not much relief but some at least.
We've been to SoCal, San Fran, Yosemite, Death Valley and are currently in Vegas.
We'll be leaving Vegas tomorrow for Henderson NV to see Hoover Dam and Lake Mead.
Hope everyone is having a great week!
BTW...Death Valley was only 110 degrees yesterday...a "cool" day by their standards I'm told!
A really neat thing about Death Valley is that much of the park is BELOW sea level...I've got some really cool photos of the GPS on elevation showing a (-) in front of the elevation number!...Badwater Basin area is 282 feet BELOW sea level...a really cool salt flat area!
Good Friday morning! Finally got a good soaking of rain last night---nearly 2 inches.
Neal - I appreciate the good thoughts. It has been pretty warm down here lately, and is supposed to be AGAIN by the middle of next week.
Joe - That sounds like a great vacation! I've been to Las Vegas twice, but both times were for business, so I didn't have time to see much more than the strip and slot machines. Just remind your family "It's a DRY heat...."
