Damn she is not fugly

 

So I need to use a floor nailer, and I checked the Home Depot rental. They had 2, a cleat nailer (brand unknown) and a Bostitch stapler. I plan to use staples, and the tool rented for about $40/24hrs. They only had nails in 8,000ct boxes for $70. I need about 1,000. Okay, not so bad.

I vaguely remembered seeing the Harbor Freight sale paper with a floor nailer. So I checked the web and their nailer is $169, but not on sale. They had staples in boxes of 500 for $4, so all together that was close enough to consider just buying one instead of renting and keeping a BIG box of staples for years.

I drive down to Steve's neighborhood to check it out, decided to buy it, and it rings up for $49.17. Still on sale. Add 3 boxes of staples, and I'm out the door for less than just the staples at HD. I just tested it out, and it looks like it will work just fine.

Some days things just go better than planned.

Tonight we are going out to see Clint Black and special guest Lisa Hartman (wife) in concert. She doesn't normally tour with Clint because they have small children, but the newspaper said she will be there.

How was the show, Bill? CB was up my neck of the woods last Friday playing the Stanislas Co. fair. Would liked to have seen the show. But had a long week and there was no way I was making the trip over to Turlock once I got home. Kind of surprised that he would play a county fair for $12. If I recall, I paid quite a bit more to see him a few years back.

So far, so good. Tinkering with it every chance we get.

 

It was good. Very laid back and simple. He didn't sell out Cerritos, and it is not that big of a hall.

I didn't know that he had recorded a remake of Eric Idle's Galaxy Song, with his own intro.
