Ugly or not, post up your current engine bay!

If anything, this will be a great reference for people with messed up engine bays like myself.

Here is when I first got her:

Planning on a full rebuild with alum intake, heads, e-fans, alum rad, and a good detailing of the engine bay.

Here's mine, nothing fancy, mostly stock.

 

My 1980 California Emissions Compliant 4.9 300 I6. Note that my truck may have an unusually high number of vacuum hoses, most likely due to the California Emissions Package in 1980.

 

Not mine, but interesting non the less.

Off topic but in the first and second picture, what is the "blue" accessory with the pulley on it on top of the altenator? My truck has is also but there is no belt to it and im not sure what it is.

 

A.I.R. pump or "smog pump" depending on who you ask. Injects fresh air into the exhaust system to help burn off any unburnt fuel.
