Any one know how thick the spacer behind the PS pump bracket should be?

Pics?

The bracket (2 bolts L/H side) should be tight/flush against the water pump face, then shim the R/H gap with a larger nut and a washer on the one bolt.

That's what I did.....

And this would be us at a FTE G2G if we all drink, LMAO.

So do you want me to haul you another one down on the 10th ? That's the next time I am heading towards Branson. I am sure you are chomping at the bit to hear it rumble.

I'll get the headers that day too from you, and BTW this thread is full of lies and stories unless you post pictures.

That's what I figured, I think you should reconsider the inner frame exit headers and go with fenderwell exit, makes it alot cheaper and easier on the rest of the exhaust system.

Here are some pics from last weeks bearing slap!

the new bearings and the crank back in, In oil pump too!

Got a late start to night but still would not start, But I know why! there is some thing keeping the engine from turning. its in the bell housing. so wee plan to pull the engine to look after work tomorrow!

Should I leave the headers on the engine or take them off to pull it?

Dear god please tell me you heard/saw the torque converter slip in THREE times before you bolted the engine tight to the trans. The torque converter should set back at least 1" into the bell housing. If you didn't get the converter seated, you could very well have broken the pump in the trans. It's good it didn't turn, otherwise, you DEFINITELY would've broken the pump ....and wrecked the rest of the trans.

Keep us posted as to what you find.

ohhh sorry i had it in my head it was a automatic..i hope you put the clutch plate back in right..i cant think of anything else..and that would only hit when the clutch is depressed..so dont know what could be stopping it from turning over...maybe a flywheel bolt too long i am just grabbing at straws

Finally some pics that you have a eng for the Bronco, lol. Is there a difference in a auto/standard starter? Fly wheel on correct? Clutch fork and throw out bearing installed correctly?

Let us know what it is, ok? Good luck...I want to ck it out next sun or monday.
