The injector came with new o-rings already installed. Just bought a compression tester today, so I have to see if I can fit it in the GP hole. Started the truck again this evening after deleting codes. Took it for a quick drive about 1/4 mile, some white smoke and no codes yet. But at idle the truck shakes more than normal. Will have to check compression tomorrow after work. I don't see any smoke at idle this evening, but didn't run long. Also bought a new torque wrench today. Maybe I didn't get the 26 foot pounds with the big one I have.
Just did a compression test on # 2 and #4. 300psi on #2, 0 psi on #4. I guess that it is time to pull the head to see if the exhaust valve is burnt or the piston. Just as well to order the studs. If I can get them around. Will see what else I need as I get into it.

sorrey man that sucks
maybe that inject tip is just holding a valve up best case senerio
dont order to many parts just yet the tip may have trashed the piston wall
check the push rods and roll them on flat surface to see if bent
I have to take my bikes out of the garage to make room for the truck. I don't think that I will have time to tear it apart until the end of July. Between work and spending time in the hospital checking out heart prbloms. But I will get it done.
Best of luck to you they have that heart stuff pretty dialed in anymore no worries you will be FINE. Its the people that dont get it checked out that are playing russian roulette. Heart problems runs in my family both sides IM doomed 36 years old and I take blood press meds
dont stress the truck it can be fixed whatever it is
Should the engine oil dipstick tube just pull up to remove or does it have a split ring on it. Been pulling on it like crazy. Or maybe I should just pull the exhaust manifold.
I gave up last nite on the dipstick tube. Just tried again and the thing just won't come. I had to get under the truck and hold the tube with a pair of pliers and tap the pliers with a hammer and pop, it came out. now waiting for the rain to stop again to remove head bolts. Not looking forward to what I might see. I think that head looks pretty heavy.
yes the heads are HEAVY. i didnt have a problem picking them out by hand but putting them back in i needed a hand since i didnt want to damage the new gaskets and the bolts that need to be held up while sliding the heads down in at a angle...
i also took my hood off and my front wheels off made it a lot lower and with out the hood in my way i didnt have to worry about banging my head...lol
