Of the available '04 flashes, you won't really notice a difference between them. Early '03 and some custom programs can have pilot injection, which makes the idle quieter, but it cycles your injectors twice as much at idle and most tuners don't like implementing it.

Only reason that could be is if he has a very early pilot injection flash or maybe your custom tune makes yours louder. I have to turn off my '03 in a drive thru, but that's motivation to not eat that crap.

The early flash was real quite and the fuel mileage was alot better than it is now 21-22 and now 17
