The only way I know of is to disconnect both batteries for 24 hours (ish).
I think 6.7Fan did this but it didn't help his shifting issue much.
This was prior to when the latest flash was released to dealers.

I just got the latest reflash. Still in the learning period I suppose. With a 19000+ load, I am experiencing no problems. Proper up and down shifts. No more slam-shifts, no more dying when trying to get going quickly after a stop. And, the slow engagement when shifting to reverse is gone also.

I can only cross my fingers that problems are solved. We will know in a few weeks or so.

Since tranny repair I am having shift flares 3-4, 4-5, 5-6. I am gong to wait a bit and see if the relearn process corrects this when it has finished.

Well, I'm finally taking my truck in for a transmission diagnosis. Mine had actually been doing very well several weeks after the battery reset (not sure if that had anything to do with it). But we were up at the lake this weekend and on the way there, we were climbing a 6-7% grade unloaded and I had an extremely hard 4-5 shift. I mean so hard it felt like we were hit from behind. Scared both me and my wife pretty bad. Then a day or two later, just very light acceleration on a flat road and it was stuck in 3rd gear. It got up to about 4500 RPM and I had to shift to M then manually shift it to 4th, then back to auto and all was fine. But it's been really acting up since with most of the items listed in the TSB. Anyway, taking it in this morning. I'm at approximatley 14,700 miles now.

Good luck to you on getting a fix. I have been getting the run around from Ford customer service on what they are going to do with my truck. They can't seem to get a handle or a fix for it. I have ran a flight recorder and logged numerous miles with it and still no answer and they have had the data for more than 2 weeks.

Let us know if they do anything different and after a few thousand miles after whatever fix they apply.

For the most part I use manual mode and I can both nearly prevent it or reproduce my 2-3 shift issue.
So I just drive around in manual mode and it's the safest.
Tow/haul mode also works fairly well.
It's normal drive mode that screws up on a regular basis which again tells me this isn't hardware; yet.

I guess we'll find out near the end of this year if the 2012's have similar issues or if FoMoCo has actually resolved this.

They came from the glass house and drove my truck. They told me there is a tsb for a part to be changed in the trans. He said cant be software because lot of people would be having trans issues

Who knows; I sure don't and I don't think Ford does either.
Just waiting for them to figure it out.
They figure out this 2-3 missed shift flare and I'll be major issue free with my truck.

It will be interesting if the 2012's have the same issues or no issues.
If no issue then they have figured it out.

Picked up the truck last night. Nothing done yet other than the other maintenance it was in for (oil change, tire rotation, coolant check, etc.).

I hate to even type this after saying I found a great service department... But they didn't know about the TSB. I had to pull up FTE with the Service Writer on the phone and give him the TSB number. Now, I still believe they are the best Service Department in SLC that I've found, I'm hoping it's only because they just haven't had many 6.7's in for issues.

They had a VERY long line of vehicles coming in yesterday morning and I was the only 6.7.

Anyway, they were reading through the TSB, the Service Writer was pissed his guys didn't know about it. He was referring it to the training manager and asked that I bring it back on Tuesday...

Juat a quick update, my truck goes back to the dealer on Friday. The service dept wants to run diagonostics again to see if the shift flare is showing up in the computer. Have to wait and see what happens next.

Tom do you have any additional info on the TSB with the part to be changed in the tranny? I am aware of the flashes and have had them done but changing a part is new to me.

AND/OR MIL ON WITH DTC P0733 AND/OR DELAYED

Did not work when put on my truck. I believe it actually made the problem worse than it was to begin with. Had it done yesterday morning and have drove 500 miles since.
