Has anyone experienced a sensor reading that is higher or lower than others after a Cold Soak? After getting my BT adapter and the app. configured the way this thread and the thread on the Torque forums said to, my ECT reads 15-17 degrees colder than my IAT sensor and EOT sensor. I have verified this with a Infrared temp gun pointed at the thermo housing on the engine, and verified the IAT temp (within a degree or 2) using multiple outside temperature sources. This temperature differential exists even when fully warmed and does not get larger.

So which is it? the gauge reading, or the sensor itself? Should I just offset the reading by 16 degrees so that it reads where i think it should read?

thanks in advance

Would a faulty adapter cause readings to stop? I've triple checked the equations, everything is entered correctly, when the app first starts up everything reads like it should. No BT adapter errors, etc. Then my readings start to drop and drop then stay at 0. Right after that is when I get the faulty adapter error. It is an elm327.

This is what 'seems' to be working in my truck, It's a 20020 7.3 manual so YMMV. Cold soak temps are close and they increase with use, but I haven't verified the readings with infrared or anything.

PID 221674
Min/Max 0/300
Scale x1
Unit °C
Eq ((A*256)+B)/8
OBD Auto

You've verified it so I'd offset it by 16.

I'd offset it as well, but I dont think it's the gauge or the torque app...the equation is spot on.

It may be worth while swapping sensors.....IMHO.

OP, thank you. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get my EOTs to show. With your info, I can keep an eye on my Deltas. Thanks again.

Bumping this back up. I saw someone else noticed something 'funky' about the boost gauge, and I am having the same issue.

Boost gauge seems to work good up to a certain value - but once it gets to 20psi, it starts reading negative/vacuum ?

Has anyone been able to fix this?

Yes, at first I tried adjusting the gauge limits...but when it gets over certain points it goes to neg. pressure...I have yet to figure out how to fix that issue. I will play around with it to see if I can fix it.

Does anyone leave the App. running all the time? I tried and mine wouldnt reconnect I have to shut the App. down and turn it back on. I just dont like having to start everything every time I go somewhere. If you do where is the setting at to make it reconnect?

That formula is wrong me bad...

there is another one you can use built into the torque app that shows fuel usage correctly.
