June open chat thread!
Tim- I saw the pictures in your profile from the GTG. Wish I had known about it. I would've met you all there. You guys weren't that far from me. Oh well, maybe next time!
Have you talked to Bruce? Maybe we can meet up in Carson or Genoa.

Yeah, we were just around the corner from your stompin' grounds, there at Pick N Pull. Maybe just a few miles? We were chasing down parts for Thumper... Poor old Thumper, never really got that old truck completed. A lot of folks got to get together working on the project though, and that is what is most important. The build spots were just too far for me to get there much. But I had fun doing what I could. I wonder what happened to the rest of the folks that showed up out there at PnP. I guess its just Bruce and I left... Oh well.
Looking forward to meeting up with you and Bruce down in town one of these days. I head down to Minden daily, lately. Let me know.
I got a friend invite in my PMs. Not sure if I responded correctly. Let me know if I accepted. That is what I intended to do, but not sure if I did it right. Yeah, you guessed it, I aint much of a techie.
Morning. I won't say "Good", just "Morning. Too tired and sore to say much else. Got home from Woodland at 3:30 am after spending the day fighting with my buddy Eric's '89 F350. We had pulled the manifolds and gotten them surfaced, it had a bad exhaust leak 'cause the manifolds were warped.
Of course two of the bolts on the passenger side were already broken when I went to pull the manifolds off last week, and I broke a third and so had all that to deal with. Someone had been in there before me working on it at some point and had replaced all the manifold bolts with grade 8 bolts, which turned out not to be a lot of fun to drill out. I have approximately 7 hours invested in just that part of the process. And then, it seems like every other part of the operation fought be tooth and nail. I suspect this truck was enjoying it's semi-retirement and didn't want to be put back to work. It'll be used to haul VW buses from all over the North State ( and elsewhere) as that's Eric's business.
I never thought I'd say this about a Ford, but I hate that truck...

Haven't talked with Bruce yet, except here on the boards. Bruce, where'd ya go?

Keep me posted on the next GTG or if you talk to Bruce. Maybe we can meet somewhere in Carson or something.
Hey Donna and Tim, my Tuesdays are obligated but although I am busy my schedule is flexible. Carson sounds good to me. Tim are you ever up this way? Which way do you travel for work?
Bruce, gotta get to work right now, but I'll give you a call today. I think your number is still in my cell phone number list. Unless its changed?
Goodmorning all
Thank God it's Thursday! Only 2 more days of babysitting (for a week)...UGH!
Chores are done & now it's time to find something for kids 3 kids (12 & under) to keep them busy without having to spend money or alot of gas to travel somewhere.
Ok...deep breaths, count to 10...I can do this!
Hope everyone has a great day.
