Did your cil come on. Do you have fuel in the bowl.
Do you mean CEL (check engine light)?

This could be any one number of things... We'll need more than "the truck died" to help diagnose what's going on. If the CEL came on you'll need to pull codes from the computer. A Equus 3145 will read the codes for you instead of the old "counting flashes." And they are only like $20-$30 at O'Reillys or Amazon.com
It lost all power I got it started again only for few min then it died I changed out the cam sensor it tried to fire up put not stay running the fuel is good.
Sounds like you have a bad CPS sensor on the front of the engine.
Replace it with an International Truck, part number 1876735C91.
Much cheaper than if you buy the same item from Ford.
A Equus 3145 will NOT read the codes on your engine.
The Equus 3145 will NOT read the codes his engine because it is a 7.3 diesel.
If it was a gas job 1997 ford f250 hd truck it would and it would be OBD1.
really??? so the OBDI ran until 97 if it was gas? I read my Equus directions and it said that it only worked for trucks until 1995... So I figured 96/97 had ODBII if it was a gasser. I guess I always assumed that the diesels used the same OBDI and OBDII systems the gassers used... What reader/system do the diesels use then? (always good to add to my knowledge so I don't make the same mistake twice)
