stalling

my 87 f-250 dies evertime i stop at a stop sigh inter etc it atarts fine and and does not die on park or nuetral only dies after iam driving it

Charles. I'm thinking maybe a throttle position sensor problem. That's just a little sensor on the side of the throttle body that lets the computer know how to control fuel by the position of the throttle plates. If that's it it should show up if you run a code check. Another possibilty is the idle air control valve. It's controlled by the PCM and allows the correct amount of air to bypass the throttle valve. best of luck
