I left our digital SLR camera at home. I bought a disposable camera and I'll post some photos after I get home and get 'em developed. Frank will be along soon and I think he may have snapped some pics today.
All I can say is "WOW!" I also got some of Brian's tunes and it is a lethal combination. When your tranny builder ASKS you to do a 2000 rpm launch because he wants to watch you boil the tires on a dually, what else is there to say?
Saying that Brian builds transmissions is like saying that Carrie Underwood is a nice looking gal - it doesn't even begin to tell the story. He knows just about everything there is to know about Ford trucks and has forgotten more about stuff like tuning than 99% of us will ever know. If you are thinking about getting one of Brian's trannys, go to Lead Hill and spend the day with Brian's gang if it is at all possible. Otherwise, you'll be missing the opportunity to pick the brain of a true Powerstroke genius.
Since Kent wont say it I will say it for him...
Brian put two feathers in Kents hat today.
Brian said that Kents 226k original trans was the nicest trans that he has ever disassembled. The clutches were almost like new.
He also could not stop complimenting Kent on the "almost new" appearance of his truck.
Rick....you have some competition brother... This is one clean dually.
I was able to score a set of Lariat door panels from one of Brians parts trucks.
The early 99 Lariats didnt have the wood grain panels that I so desired, but Thanks to Brian, my search is over.
I think I salvaged the last good part on this truck...
I think I see a good passenger side mirror from here...
I'm in the same boat as you guys. Dreading the day I have to buy a BTS since I don't happen to have $4500+ kicking around but I'm really looking forward to the experience.
And being able to beat the tar outta my trans with no fears. My shifts were a bit squishy after 2 hours at the drag strip at RRE.
Kent, I'm glad you like the trans and tunes - I know I do!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not surprised your old trans was in good shape, you seem like the kind of guy who likes to take good care of his stuff. Aren't boosted launches FUN!!!!
It was great to come hang out with you guys, I wish I coulda come earlier in the day but I was just in time to see Franks trans go back in and see his test drive SMILES!
Glad you guys got to experience the BTS trans build. I've watch him build 2 of them so far. Cool deal on the tunes Kent. I've heard nothing but good from people with Brian's tunes. Good score on the door panels Frank.
I want to hear how the trans does pulling the 5er.
EDIT: Frank, when are you leaving to go back to FL?

Rick, It was sweet getting to watch two builds...I loved Brains tunes so well that I am also getting his tuner. He burned his last chip in stock for Kent.
After the three of us doing burnouts in Kents dually, and Brian egging us on to do more, I was absolutely sold on his tunes.
He even wanted me to stick around saturday so that he could get a chip for me from one of his trucks thats at a body shop, just so that I could leave with his tunes....What a guy , but I told him its no big deal.
Ill WILL be calling him monday to set up my new tunes.
Rick, I'll be here till the end of august. we need to do a small GTG before I leave.

Thanks David, It feels like a new truck.
Let me know if you need instructions on taking out your pcm.........Sounds like you are hooked up...Good for you brother.......I like my PHP tunes but don't know if they would have to be tweaked if I got a BTS transmission.

Brian will tune your trans to whatever tuner you have.
Mine is set up for the tune I am normally in (80econ)
I remember Brian saying the only tuner that was hard to tune in the tranny was DP cause of the higher line pressure he uses. Maybe other tuners don't have that problem? Anyone have any input on this? When Brian and I went for a drive he said just have the shift pressure and points returned to stock and it would be great. But I was live tuned and that also fixes the shifting.
