Awesome on the warranty! (Edit: On his website it only says 2 years? I now remember why I was confused. I hear from you guys its life...and his site its 2 yrs)
Does it have a bunch of stipulations and stuff like do you have to report to him every 10k or 15k miles with servicing updates?
One more things.. which I may have missed it somewhere in the thread. Isnt his price out the door somewhere like $4800 installed n all?
Thanks a bunch btw
I believe it is the legalese that says 2 years. However, as others have testified, he has freely replaced transmissions that broke outside of that 2 years so the legalese doesn't matter. There were no stipulations that I know of.

'Stipulations'? Drive it like you stole it..... Have fun... pull hard (come easy) and leave her wet....
'Tunes and Chips' Will Not void warrenty and all are welcome.
I asked for a 'warrenty' sheet and Brian said 'I don't give warrenty paper work when everything is covered'. He told me the 'if I pulled 'sleds' and weights and raced the truck that I may be back to see him once a year. If I pulled heavey loads and dogged it, maybe every 5 years. If I pulled it 'regularly' and changed the ATF very 30,000 miles, it should be good for 'life'..... if not.... bring it in and he would over haul it'.
I asked about the 'two year' warrenty, his responce was that was basicly for 'adjustments' to MY liking, ie. shift plates etc. If it was not to my liking after two years, then the problem is not the truck but the nut behing the wheel.
All right folks, my apologies if I've zombied this thread back from the dead but I finally posted a few photos of our trip to BTS. Here's a pic of the gang, graciously snapped by Brian's wife, Patti. You can probably pick out Brian, and Frank is the short guy.

Can you ask for a better warrenty than that! Kent and I were talking while Brian was building my trans, and we brought up warreny. Brian simply turned to us and said "do you have life insurance?, then why wouldn't you want your trans to have life insurance too"
He also said that his 1000 or 1200hp ( I forget ) race truck has the exact same internals as the one that he was building for me. Only difference was the shift tuning.
Now I'm not the smartest guy around, but that sure beats the "other" trans I was considering that was only $300 less and is built for a measly 375hp....Just sayin!

Neither of us got a pic of Tina, I was going to, but she left before we took the pic with Brian.
For the record, she is a cutie no dout!
That tranny pic is just pure filth! Who needs a picture of Tina when you have "DIESEL ****" like that????

Well.... when I was at Brians shop, the 'boys' working there started drooling every time Tina walked by and had a sheep eating grin on their faces .... I know, I know.... the boys were working on Ford Trucks and all.... but some things sitting in the front seat always makes a truck look better and she sure has my vote.....

No. I was only into the truck ****.
As far as warranties are concerned, I had mentioned in an earlier post that Brian asked me to stop on a deserted stretch of Arkansas blacktop, stand on the binders until the tach read 2000, and then let her rip. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw nothing but tire smoke and the back of Frank's head as he turned to watch the show. It was the same ole same ole to Brian, but Frank and I were laughing like a couple of little kids. I said to Frank, "We just voided every other warranty on the planet!"
Brian is one of the true trailblazers in Powerstroke performance. He'll explain to you that most of what he has learned about building 4R100s was a result of breaking them behind his engines. Pull it apart, figure out why it failed, rinse and repeat. Even now, he's about 10% businessman and 90% enthusiast and he just wants to do what's best for your truck. At one point, he seemed to be getting a little exasperated with some of mine and Frank's questions and he said, "You guys have to get past this idea that everything is going to cost you an extra $50." I asked him to fix a pinion seal leak while I was there and he didn't charge me a dime for it.
Somebody else had asked about the price of the trans. I have my receipt in front of me. The transmission was $4500, plus $170 for 20 quarts of fluid.
Sorry if all this makes me sound like a fanboi, but it's true.

.
That was in reference to our old tuners.
That one guy spent 7-8 hrs reinstalling my cooler, and replumbing it for me with all new line/hardware. He never charged me a dime for that either.
Poor guy was licking himself raw!! That pillow thing was me, the wife Walked in! That was a tough one to explain, ^so we apparently get to explain it to a psychologist tomorrow! She said "first you want me to make rattling noises and whistle" and "now this, you're a sick dog Monty and you need help!"
