I think we should just be happy with Frank's decision. He made a good choice. I know I learned a little from the whole thing. Sometimes if you don't have the cash you have to improvise.

Thats right Grant, sometime you have to do what you have to do. But This time I'm going for a top shelf trans. anything less would be a waste of money.
If I just used my truck to bring home groceries that would be one thing. But I'm traveling all over the east coast with either my camper behind me, (soon to be a much bigger 5'r) or a heavy work trailer. I have no place for second best
My BTS build is also scheduled now. I fixed the 2-3 shift valve Friday, but I found metal shavings in the pan as well as black fluid that only had between 20-25k on it. It also has trouble shifting from 1st-2nd every now and then. I gave BTS a call this morning and my build is scheduled and should ship out in time for me to install it for our big camping trip in July. Brian has been great to deal with over the phone and I appreciate the time he has taken to talk with me and walk me through some things.
Frank, big thanks goes to you for the shipping offer on the trans. If the timing had been different I would have definitely taken you up on it.
I'm definitely looking forward to a better shifting truck.
Called Brian about a softness when I shift into drive. He said to bring it in anytime and he would see what's up.....
Transmission is fine when I give it some pedal, Pulls fine, shifts fine, level of oil fine, no burn oil or 'funny smells'. But for the last week it seems to have a very soft shift into drive or reverse and just sits there (like my original trany). Usually it jumps (with the BTS) when I put it in gear and starts taking off down the road with no pedal applied.
Any suggestions before I drive 250 miles? I have a Superchip and have been changing over from 'High Pro' to 'pull mode' and back several time in the last two weeks. Had a code of PO 603, but from what I understand that code is most likily caused/set by the tuner and is not a problem.
Oh, wait.....wait for it....
Franko has to wait until Aug. 4th to see Brian.
Your wait could be compounded by some jerks who make an appointment for one thing and tack on a couple others. Not saying it was me Just something I heard about someone going there for installing an oil pump and then adding a couple more service items till they left at about 8 that night.

Thats why I'll have a cooler full of Yuenglings for Kent and I to sip on while we wait.
Honestly I cant think of a better place to just hang out.
