Hello,
I have a 97 Ranger 2.3L and my check engine light recently came on. I stopped by Autozone and had them pull the code and it said P1443 Evaporative Emissions System Control Valve . I was told that if i replace the evaporative system purge valve and purge flow sensor it would take care of this problem. Does anybody have any experiance with this problem? Thanks.

it has been my experiance that this code is set most of the time from over filling the gs tank at the station.
if you clear the code and don't top off your tank after the pump shuts off, it should be ok.
