my window started going up & down slow & just got slower until it stopped. So I put a new motor with the linkage and all and it bearly goes up or down. Any idea's.
I don't think it is electrical. It goes up & down fine when the window is not in. I talked to someone else that replaced there motor. He said when the motor was out the window went up & down real eazy mine it goes real hard I pushed it down by hand I was afraid I was going to break it. The door was not hit or anything. I think I will take the weather molding's off one by one & see if I can find anything.
Let us know how it turns out. I just used one of the long red straws that comes with the silicon spray. Spray down on the front and back window rails, it'll drip down from there.
It sounds to me like something is binding or tight. I would free the glass and see how it moves by hand and go from there.........silicone, free it up.....
thanks for those threads! I will definitely take a look at those, and I'm sure there'll be pictures as well. Not sure I want to do this myself, but it seems like an awfully small job for a shop to do.
