From what I am reading so far is they flat spot after sitting for awhile, are less bouncy than a radial, and dry rot faster than a radial.
Seems to be quite the discussion on many forums. Some of them like the "V10 vs PSD" thread. lol
But the ones I am looking at (I'm sure some of you seen them before) come with nice looking aluminum wheels which is a plus. If I dislike the bias for some reason I would only have to put up with them for 3-4 years. Might even be looking at other campers by then too.
If you get a good bias tire they work very well on the a camper, same as a radial, there are bad ones and good ones out there.
The ones at Northern Tool wear weird if you put a lot of miles on them, like a rental shop may, but they do not suddenly deflate.
Carlisle has had many problems in my fleet, I do not use them.
Deestone tires seem to hold up very well, but they are not very attractive. Duro makes a good tire, but they can be very difficult to get a hold of.
The great big advantage to bias tires on a camper is that when one does blow out it does not shred open the floor and side of the camper like a radial will. The wood, aluminum and fiberglass are no match for a steel belt!

I will have to have one of those soon. Mine already acts like it is skipping and is extremely loud. The propride does not help matters any. Where do you go in the outer banks. I would like to head up there some time

We are going to Hatteras campground Cape Hatteras Resort and RV Park. We have never been there but it looks awesome. It has the ocean on one side and the sound on the other. It'll be fun. I have a little one man Hobie sail boat I might bring.

Oh to the Hobie... I remember being about 12-13 yrs old sailing around the bay (inlet) that we had our sailboat moored. I could get that Hobie up on its side with the boom scraping the water. Those were the days. Take the Hobie!
Those are beautiful. Should really make your trailer look more up to date. Good shot!
Thats what I was thinking and they were about the same price as the white steel ones.

They were a little more than the square ones but I figured the extra price was worth it.

My stock ones are rusting a little too, thats the other plus to these aluminum ones. No matter what tires I get at least I will have nice looking 15" wheels on the TT from now on.
Here is a link to the place I found the wheels and tires if any are interested.
Picked up one of those expedition 2x camp chefs today as well as a 2.5" memory Goan mattress pad from Costco. I replaced my 2500lb electric tounge jack with my old spare 3500 because it was way to small to begin with as well as the extra weight from the propride the gears were spinning as I tried to raise it. I am glad I held onto the other one. When this one died I will replace if with a 4500lb. Cang wait til the 18th
Installed a dedicated RV plug for the camper today. No more extension cords and adapters. Yayyy!
There used to be an electric stove in the basement, but I never used it. The plug was about 10' from the corner of the house where I wanted the RV plug, so the wiring from the main box in the garage was almost right where I needed it. #8 wire but too big is always better than too small. Ran 15 feet of #10 wire from the outside RV box into the basement and connected that to the existing #8. Installed a duplex 20/30A breaker to piggy back into a breaker slot in the main house panel. (no open spots, too many 220V breakers taking up all the space) Voila, I have 30 amp 110V service to the camper and can now run the AC.
The only issue was finding a breaker for the house panel, it's an obsolete ITE box and nobody carries them in a store anymore. Gotta love the internet for stuff like that!
