I discovered Tom Lehrer during my formative years, and haven't been the same since. I have him to blame for all that's wrong!
I know a bunch of his songs "by heart", and will break out a'cappella into something appropriate for the occasion, much to my wife's embarrassment. Once-in-a-while, someone will join in, which usually surprises the heck out of me. However, I then know I have a true kindred spirit, and sometimes become fast friends. Those present excluded, of course, I have some strange friends!

I remember those songs too - had a couple chem and physics proffs who were huge fans.

On an amusing note - it's pretty impressive that the Mayan calendar remained viable a few hundred years longer than their civilization did. The calendar in my Droid only shows 'till next weekend. If I scroll to the right... the world doesn't end for another week.
