Aint been on much lately. My daughter was born in June, then got my Merc runnin. It broke down again, lookin to sell now. My 85 came back to me with parts missin n the engine blown. Things are lookin up though, got another deployment to fund my DT360 swap, haha more like frame alteration.
Well my project now is a truck I purchased from a member here. It's a 77 F250 high boy that had a lot of work done to it. I bought the truck with plans to finish what he started.
Right now the truck is out in Strasburg getting the engine replaced with a built 400. The 460 that was in it had a pretty nasty knock once it warmed up. I replaced the bed, the wheel wells were rusted out. It's currently being sanded down for a full repaint.
I'll post some pics when she's all done.
Here's a link to the build thread that the PO started.
So Im gunna kick off my Merc build again. I did a 5-speed swap only to toast the clutch spin the teeth on the flywheel and lost 3rd n 4th gears. Iv got a line on a shop that will mod the trans to handle what all else I wanna do. Im planning a 5.4 swap a Terminator front bumper mod and more suspension tuning. I don't have any picks to show you guys yet but when I get back to the states Im gunna post a link to my build thread.
I recently replaced the wiring harness with one I rebuilt, integrating all my custom wiring into the harness to get it nice and clean. I am happy with the results. While doing this I upgraded my alternator from 160 to 240 amps, I was using ~95% of my 160 amp alternator.
With all that done I will be working on my tune, which I don't think will take too long, just a matter of me putting in some time. And after that's stable, it'll be time for the water/meth injection. Hope to have this done by May or so for use in summer.
