I will certainly have to look into it! I am a big fan of the rocky mountains, and a big fan of ford trucks. Do you guys have any gtg's, or trail rides?

Oh yeah, we had a Meet n Greet BBQ last month and have a yearly trail run as well as other regular wheeling trips. I havent been to any of the wheeling trips but am hoping to make the yearly chinamans gulch camping/wheeling trip this year.

Just thought I would update my project a little bit. Nothing much has changed, but I did win a trophy for "work in progress"!

is there a trophy for lack of progress? I'd get that then.

I been dragging my feet to put on the heads. Hope to get to it soon.

I don't remember if they had that one or not, haha! I plan to get my engine pulled and re-sealed, and add all my "go-fast fun parts" in a couple weeks. Then I will have to focus on getting all the acorns out of the hood so I can open it at the next show

Some work on a '72

I'm rebuilding from the inside out. At least that is what I tell them when I get comments about all the rust! I've been working on it for ten years. The truck has some common modifications for high-altitude, HOT, and cold climates. Getting ready to host electronics in-cab.

Done:
Cold air feed to the air-cleaner housing.
Battery hold-down reconstruction.
Manual hot/cold air selector cable.
Heat shield under the carb heater spacer plate.
Plastic spacer above the manifold for heat isolation.
NAPA 'electronic' electric-choke control module - recommended.
343901 RV cam and matching lifters.
Pedestal shims to adjust for surfaced head and block - not quite right yet.
Plastic fan, and repaired shroud with epoxy.
Silicone heater hose, vacuum hose.
Engine compartment paint.
Headlight relays - Recommended.
Contactor/main kill switch/ kills entire electric system.
Handmade wiring system for underhood area with additional breakers.
Inertial switch for aftermarket electric fuel pump - Recommended.
Re-routed metal fuel line for better cooling/anti-vapor lock.
Handmade seat covers, headliner, door panels in matching fabric.
Removed dash cover, just metal now.
Door guts cleaned and lubed.
All new brake components.
New steering box - Bolts fell out and broke on me.
Rebuilt engine, but only re-ring and regasket, with minimal machining.
High-volume oil pump for 5W-30 oil.
Oil system modifications, except valve-train restrictors.
Windage tray to control slosh.
Heavy-duty water pump - more restrictive?
Carpeting with two layers of soundproofing/insulation.
Lots of carburetor adjustments and experience, MC 2100, 2BBl.
New distributor, with updated adapter, cap, rotor, 460 8mm wires.
130 Amp 3G alternator and associated upgrade wiring, fusable links.
New radiator.
Pertronix point elimination module - Recommended.
30,000 volt anti-theft system... heh, heh, heh... Not quite lethal...
5 Volt homemade voltage regulator for the dash circuit.
Dash disassembly, cleaning, repaint reflectors and new bulbs.

Projects in-progress and awaiting funding:
Surge-suppression electronics in the late testing stage-passed scope.
Dash cluster exterior paint/aethetics..
Additional idiot lights, leds, gauges - need faceplate and mounting.
Trac-loc needs rebuild.
$$$ Paint and bodywork...
Needs auxiliary gas tank filler hose.
Could use a radio...update to FM, 8-track?

Get-r-done, boys.
