Window Switch

It started out intermittently and it liked to roll down more then up and then one day it quit working all together. I ripped the door apart thinking it was a motor and on a hail marry I swapped them and it fixed it. the driver side master worked and the passenger worked. the driverside still won't roll down the now dead back passenger. swapping switches is easy so I would hive that a try. let me know...
So u just swapped the switches then...... i will give it a try prolly not today but this week. thanks for the help i will keep you posted

You could check a junk Yard for another switch if that is Your problem. They use the same switch in F150's and Expedition's. It is the same as the power mirror switches. I got one out of and Expedition in My truck right now.

ok i just found a thread that told me i could take out the motor and push up the window. so i went out and took the motor out and slid up the window. in the same thread it told you how to take tho motor appart and clean the brushes. i took the motor appart cleaned the entire motor put it all back together. plugged it in and i still have the same prolbem. it will roll down but will not roll up with the passenger side switch. the switch on the driver side will not do anything for the passenger side window. im wondering if i shoul get a new motor? or is ther something else going on. Because like i said...... using the driver side switch to roll the passenger side window up or down dose nothing at all. the passenger side switch will roll the window down but not up.

i had a broken wire in the drivers door wire boot, (that big rubber acordion tube running from the cab to the door) it too would work when the wire ends touched together, but when they came apart none of the switches would work, i chased the problem for days, taking everything apart and making sure it worked. this may or may not be your culprit.
