Main Window Switch?
When I use the main window switch to try and roll down the driver's side window it won't work, but when I bang on the door panel it will roll down and roll up. The lock/unlock button doesn't work either, it works on the passenger side door just fine. Could this be a short in the wiring or is the switch going out on me. The window problem seems to be just with the driver window, all of the other windows will roll up and down when the main switch is used, also all of the other switches work just fine except for the lock/unlock and the driver side on the main switch. Any help or guidance or even just a hey dumbA$$ this is what it is will do!! Thanks.

Driver door switches get more use and abuse, including moisture when windows are left down. I had a 97 F-150 that always seemed to have an issue with one of the motors or switches. My 06 Expedition had a driver's switch problem and was replaced on warranty.
i would troubleshoot/replace the switch first and go from there.
