New to forum so please bear with me..... ok I just bought a 2005 f150 super crew the issue I am having is the passenger window will roll down from the passenger control switch but not up has to be rolled up from driver side.....also neither back window switch will operate Windows but when I roll them down from driver switches and hit the rear switch at the same time in opposite direction it will stop the window the rear switches are not lit up either any help is greatly appreciated
I have a similar issue but usually the switch is fine as long as it has not rained. Also if I just hold the switch for a moment it usually catches 2006 F150 crew cab
I had the same problem on my 06. It was a bad switch. Thus far I have replaced both driver side and passenger side window switches. I kept the old ones and cleaned them and they work ok. I'll keep them for backups. It must be a commen problem as most dealers in my area stock them.
hey that happen to my truck to but its the switch because i took the door panel off and replace the switch, its probably went out on your your just like mine but if you want a new one that buy one at a ford dealer, they sell them cheap but buy it online because they are cheaper. look at the prices down below
My rear windows work from the rear switches but not from the drivers switch. I replaced the drivers switch and they still don't work from the driver's side, only the rear switch. What gives with that? I inspected the wires and they appear to be fine.
Also check the wire harness between the drivers side door and the body of the truck to see if there's a frayed or broken wire. You could have two things going on.
We also carry the window switches for your 05 if you need to replace any of them. Here's a link to them on our website.
I've had similar problems with my switch in the driver side door. The switch uses a plastic button inside which gets worn down. I was able to take the switch apart and switch buttons with other windows. The down side is I can't roll down back windows from my control. It is cheaper than replacing the switch if you can live with it.
All 4 windows work from driver door - none work from passenger doors - have replaced master switch on drivers door - still no good ! Anybody have an idea what is the problem ? 2006 F150
You'll need to check the switches of the other windows. Most likely that's the problem. If you have a shop manual handy or can get one to use, it'll tell which terminals to check for up and down and you check continuity when the switch is pushed to either the up or down position. I'd check voltage to the switch as well. If you don't have access to a manual, just take one of the switches out, take the button off to expose the electrical contacts. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and re-assemble. Plug it in and see if it works. If it does, you've fixed the problem. There was a thread on this site about a year ago that illustrated how the switch comes apart. If memory serves me correctly, the passenger side switch was as much or a little more than the driver side master switch.
