Hello,
I have done some searches and cant seem to find the answer to my exact question. My passenger side window will go down but not up from the passengers side. When I try from the drivers side, I can get it to go up. What could be the issue? Window Motor? Or just the switch being it will work when I use the drivers side controller to roll it up.
If it were the motor it wouldn't work from the driver's side. Replace the passenger side switch first. If that doesn't solve it then you could be looking at a broken wire or bad connection from the passenger switch.
you are correct, its the switch I have determined tonight. If I wiggle it right on the switch it will work for a second, looks like maybe the contacts for the UP portion are warn out. Would you happen to have a part number for the switch? It not I will look it up somehow.
someone told me the part is F87z-14529-aa even though that is NOT the part on the switch. I will have to call the stealership tomorrow, I was hoping to get it tonight so I could find it online way cheaper

FYI..you dont have to replace ANY of these switches. If you are even a remotley good DIY person you can remove the switch assembley from the door, open it up, take it appart and clean the contacts with a small piece of fine sandpaper or pencil eraser. You will find a lot of soot and carbon build up on the "up" contact as it require more amperage to do the job. I just did this on my 03 expedtion and all switches now work fine!! Same thing happend on my older Porsche as well!

Oh really, that is a good tip, I love doing stuff like that too. It was intermittent so I just put the switch that was having all the problems, "passenger door" and swapped it with the right rear door as its never used. I'm sure I will sell it before I would need to replace it now, Thank you very much for the help and tips guys!!!

True enough! Just a word of warning to anyone that wants to try this. Watch out for the little light bulb inside the switches. You don't want to break it, unless you enjoy feeling around for the switch in the dark.

they actually appear to be LEDs? very small. I dont think they burn out. The issue i have seen appears to be in the wiring...if i moved the bulb slightly i could get it to light up again
Also, if you do this, use a small screw driver and do it over a cookie sheet. It helps to keep parts around if you drop them...there are some small parts in there.
