Good Afternoon Nevada. We have been cold down here the last 4 days or so. Today we were only 74 degrees with low 50s at night.
Donna glad to hear your feeling better.
The closest I have been is a few hundred feet. There are a few that hang out around Wilson Canyon between Smith & Yerington. Every so often you can see them staring down from the top of the canyon.
They are protected in the park & they know it believe me.

We probably were able to get within 20 feet of some of the big horns before some of the males started getting ansy...so we backed off and just used our telephotos to our advantage. LOL
Hi Nevada, snowing again this morning. Spending as much for snowblower gas as for my truck! Forecast for more snow more to come, heavy Thursday night. The weather man is taking Friday off to ski.
I just keep thinking - more water in the lake this summer! If it ever gets here. We're still getting snow down here too. The weatherman just said that you were in for another foot tonight. Stay warm!
You all keep that snow up there. LOL Bad enough it's frickin' cold as hell here in the morning when riding my motorcycle home from work...I don't need it snowing on top of it. LOL!

Good Morning Nevada.
Matt my thoughts exactly. We are bringing up some warmer weather it looks like. I was just looking on the weather channel & Hawthorne is suppose to be in the mid to upper 60s next week when we will be there to visit my mom. Of course Hawthorne has the warmest weather in Northern Nevada. Bob Lilly a Meteorologist from years ago in Reno explained it once. But the same thing that gives Hawthorne the warmer weather Mt Grant also produces the extreme winds Hawthorne has had over the years. Back in 1967 I remember winds that went for 10 hours that blew the weather sock off at the airport @ 120 MPH winds. Every car & house had frosted windows & no paint. The insurance companies loved it.

more snow up here, snowed last night but very little accumulated. I think that the temps have been just borderline for snow and a lot is melting and evaporating off. Two days of snow and less than six inches. Supposed to be a "storm" this afternoon.
Speaking of wind........... we have had our share. I keep expecting the power to go out.
Romeo, my dog, loves this stuff. I saw him jump off of a berm into deep snow and disappear, then came back into sight eight feet away from where he went in. Funny as heII
LOL! I saw a youtube video like that of a dog roaming around the yard in snow that was way above him/her. You could see him/her show up here and there every once in a while. It was funny as hell. I could only imagine seeing it in person.
We are having a real blizzard right now. The predictions came true! Even Romeo doesn't want to go outside. Half the time I can't see the end of my driveway. I went out to pick up branches and pinecones that had blown down because they screw up the snowblower. Tried teaching Romeo to do it but he's too smart for that trick.
Haha that Romeo is a smart dog! No snow here yet but windy, I'm sure it's on it's way. Looking at the radar you guys and Reno/Carson are getting dumped on for sure. I've seen your driveway and it's not that long!
I just found out today that some of my NHRA images I shot last year for my media company made it into a childrens drag racing book that was published in January of this year.
Publisher website (you can flip pages & see inside):
Book is called "Funny Cars" by Cameron Steele. It's actually gone worldwide and is being sold in the US, Australia, UK, India, New Zealand, Estonia, Italy, Switzerland and a few other countries that I can't remember off hand.
