Goodmorning everyone!
TGIF...I can't wait to get to work on Sunday (for a change) LOL!
I'll be turning my 2 week notice in, as I have been offered/excepted a medical job working special events - Thunder Bowl Raceway in MoundHouse, probably the Gay Pride Parade in Reno(again this year), not sure about the Kit Carson Rendevous yet, etc. So, I'm pretty excited to get out of my current employment & get back into the medical field.
I'll also be helping out at the Silver Dollar Classic's Car Show Aug. 5, 6, & 7!!!!
Not sure if I'm going to enter my truck or not, but either way it'll be fun.
Maybe I'll see some of you there?

The TV news says that Tahoe has gotten more snow than any time since 1950.
Fortunately, we are better equipped to handle it now. Especially since in has come in increments as opposed to a mega storm.
So the lakes and rivers will be in good shape.
And it is still snowing this morning.
Any Formula I fans out there? Qualifying is on TV this evening. (It was on in the wee hours this morning too.)
I expect that Schumacher will be more competitive this year, but I have high hopes for Alonzo.

Today is going to be hectic here. My (youngest) daughter, Kaedon is celebrating her 11th birthday today! She's not officially 11 until Monday, but I'll be at work that day, so it's easier just to do it today.
She's the typical young girl...anything to do with Justin Bieber!

Good Evening Nevada. I'm in Laughlin for three days & the depression is real clear here. 3 nights @ River Palms Casino/Hotel for $40 total. They have closed one whole floor of gaming & combined it on the main floor. Parking garage is full but no problem finding a slot machine, or table game seat to play at, or restaurant table to eat at. There are people around but few are spending money. This is the worst I have ever seen it here. We come here often & have for years. Not to mention lived across the river for a years.
I will be interested to see what Northern Nevada looks like. I plan to go to Reno for a day sometime in the time we are up there.

I will be getting a check for the deal. 
Generally we just get paid quarterly...well...depending on how the assignment gets paid, I should say, so that means I should see that check here fairly soon. I work freelance for them, so it's extra money. A lot of the guys/girls have gotten Sports Illustrated spreads, ESPN Magazine shots and all kinds of stuff. 
They are a really good company and stay on top of it and don't cheat their employees. I've been really happy thus far shooting for them and get pretty darn good assignments with them.

When are you coming to Reno? Are you going via Hwy. 395 or I 80? If you're going Hwy 50 to Hwy 395, stop by the only gas station in MoundHouse Sunday or Monday between 2-6pm. Let me know & maybe we'll see ya there!

Good afternoon everyone. Craig, That is why I am glad Wendover is on the interstate. The crash hurt us but now that things are starting to bounce back we are getting more business.

Donna, we are coming up 95 to Hawthorne. Then on our Reno trip we are planning on going in on Friday. We could head back through Carson & Mound House. The station is the one by the Virginia City junction? Let my know or PM me. The Reno trip is going to be me & two of my friends that I have known for 50 years. So we will be just cruising on retirement time. The wife is going to spend the day with her parents in Yerington.
