Good Afternoon Nevada from Laughlin. It was in the 80s today the dog & I spent the afternoon in the river. Headed for the spa & pool in a few minutes. Glad to hear it is suppose to be warm in Northern Nevada. We are headed up tomorrow.

It is crazy down here. We won't stay here again until they are finished with roads. Casino Drive is bumper to bumper from one end to the other. Edison Drive is closed so the only other way is to go up to Laughlin town site & around Casino Drive to Harrah's Unless your at the Riverside. Anything in between is a half hour wait on the Casino Drive parking lanes with stop lights that don't work half the time.
I can't imagine what next weekend will be, with the Rodeo then with the River Run I believe the following weekend or maybe two weeks. I would think the Casinos would start raising Hell. I met some people today that is getting rooms for FREE up to $7.99. We paid $12.99 they have to be loosing big money. Joe's Crab Shack was busy though & we enjoyed dinner there tonight.
Only in Nevada can they screw up the traffic & roads this bad. They have been working on this for months. Over on the other side of the River, Arizona paved 6 miles of five lanes in one month at nights. Here today was Monday & I saw a couple of guys leaning on shovels that was it. They aren't really even working on anything. Nights they aren't working either. Nothing is much different than when we were here in December except more is tore up & the traffic is way worse. This was suppose to be done in December @ a cost of $12.5 million for 2 miles of work. At least that is what the paper said before they started this deal.
We are headed to Pahrump in the morning to visit my buddy there then on to Hawthorne. If I can get to Pahrump I can run dirt back roads to Hawthorne if they have 95 messed up to bad. That is why we are going through Pahrump. They have 95 from Las Vegas to Indian Springs with a 45-50 mph speed limit for 20+ miles. of the freeway. Crazy.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

I had a pretty darn good afternoon yesterday. I went to qualify at the range and scored a 346 out of 360 (96.1%) on my qual. Not too damn bad since I hadn't shot with my weapon in like 10 years! LOL I didn't realize it had been that long until I really sat down to think about the last time I shot with it.

So, I was happy that I "still have it"! LOL Definitely made me a happy camper yesterday since I needed at least 70% to qualify. I used to constantly shoot expert (95% & above) with my weapon when I was shooting all the time, but I was just praying that I would at least qualify this time around since it had been so darn long. LOL I guess I worried over nothing, eh?

That's some purdy darn good shoot'n there Tex! LOL! What job do you do to have to qualify for that type of marksmanship...Cop, military, or prison guard? I used to enjoy shooting, but being related to John Wesley Hardin... that's all I'd need. Not to mention there's nothing worse than a mother (parent) scorned!

Went in for the MRI's on my back this morning. Hopefully I'll find out the results tomorrow at my doctor's appt. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Miss Donna. :-) Well, I used to be 2 out of 3 and it wasn't a prison guard. LOL

However, at this point, it was for my CFP/CCW permits.

I'm sure things will come out well tomorrow for you.

 

Is there a special forum on all Ford Safety Recalls?
I read somewhere that 1967 - 1970? Ford Trucks had a safety recall from the factory regarding seat belts.
Does anyone have anymore info. on this?
