dave, your wifes car situation sounds fishy. i dont know what axle it has, but the 8.8 for example requires the removal of the front pinion bearing to replace the crush collar, which should have been done while changing the seal.
often a bad bearing will make horrible noises, however i havent hear of one causing a vibration like you describe. i wonder if they over torqued it and the bearings were binding?
Aaron- I didn't see your post lol. I don't yet. I plow three driveways, mine my neighbors and my grandmothers. My grandmother's alone is about 700 feet in length and has an area the size of a small gas station on top of it. The other two are maybe 150 feet... standard length. Once in a while I do a few more. But this was all with a personal/light commercial plow, with this one I might work for a buddy's fire department who's chief also contracts out in the winter.
There ya go... that's a hell of a plow there. I have the HD, its pretty easy to put on. Can't wait to use it, I haven't plowed with a chain lift plow in some time.
Yeah they aren't too bad as long as you store them on a hard surface. Try to store it on dirt and you'll have issues. Concrete is my favorite surface to drop and hook on.
