Evening guys.
Well my son took 1st in the pine wood derby regionals for his age group.
Pete do you have an idea for a GTG?
Maybe another truck wash or what ever.
I was thinking of having a beach barbecue in May before the beaches start to charge to get in and get too crowded.

Yes Miles you just cut it in the middle.
I use the ones that take a spade fuse with a cover.

Just got home. I was wrong with my HP estimate, it's about 450hp on 12:1. It's a brand new chassis, well he's had it since '08 but has never built it up. We got the front and rear suspension put in today and painted the rear end... it's a truck-arm car so it's set up more like a cup car with a track bar. He had hung the body and got the interior all done. He's going to put the rest of it together this week suspension wise, rivet the body the rest of the way on, wiring and a few other odds and ends and over the week I should be up there to help him put the motor/trans in and fire it up. All of the best of the best in this car, the chassis itself is (I believe) the same chassis as a JR motorsports SLM.
Chassis just got powder coated as well as all of the tin work for the interior, and suspension pieces. The body is staying the cast white, cheaper to replace that way

Sadly the Chevy is the cheapest body... he's a Dodge guy (former Ford guy but he has to have the cummins), and I told him he should've gotten a ford or dodge body instead. I guess the Chevy is the cheapest, it's the most common around here. It's an ABC body, what that means I'm not sure but it's standard on a lot of touring divisions and it's also $$$

A friend just posted on FB that she was eating at Lenny & Joe's, we could do that again
although the beach could be fun also.

Miles- yours will be fine, I just like the other type because the fuses are easy to find.
Aaron- I just wish there was a drag strip that was closer.
