What a busy Saturday-- Worked on an ATM about an hour from the house-- then put the racks back on the 4 wheeler-- Then hung a couple swings in the back yard-- made a dual tire carrier for the trailer- Restacked all the lumber next to the house and covered it with a tarp-- did a couple spreadsheets for work- and made a kitty hanging toy-- sat down sometime after supper and ZZZZZZZZ-- woke up and went to bed-- :-) very productive day.
We dropped off the car trailer, picked up the camper, and brought it home to get it ready for Memorial weekend. I fixed and rebuilt two of the sewer valves. One was broken, and cable was broken, and the other one was not adjusted correctly when it was installed, in addition to the seals were not seated, so it constantly leaked at the valve itself. They were buried in the basement of the camper, so each one was a full day's work. I am sore, my skin is raw from crawling under the camper on the cement, and my back is sore. Other than that I am great!
I greased the hubs, and will check air pressure in the tires tonight, after that, there will just be a quick walk through to verify all is ready to go. I would like to give it a bath before we go, but that probably won't happen.
OK forgive my ignoance-- valves with cable? Is that to switch from grey water to black water? Why is there a cable- I thought most of those were just a hand valve-- ?
SO I know of a great place to find some of these-- https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...5480135223981/ -- Looks like you just cut the front end off polish and make some wall hangers-- My Question is-- If I made a few-- do you think they would sell-- I bet I could get old fords- chevelles -- pontiacs- Jeeps-- Apache trucks-- all kinds of stuff -- Just wondering what everyones thoughts are-- Junk or Man cave treasures?
Sooo.. the camper is a 4 season camper, with hidden tanks, and valves to keep them from freezing in the winter. The cables operate them from a distance away to make the handles accessible. The valves are nearly 5 feet away from the end of the cable. It just makes it so you don't have to crawl under the trailer to pull the valve handles.
On a three season camper, or whatever they are referred to, the valves might be right at the dump pipe exit, so It might be easy to access them.
Chad the wall hangers are cool for man cave garage stuff. Maybe even a bar/cafe if they ever open again. The question is, how big is the market with in driving distance or shipping cost if going to a bigger market. If you try it do one you could keep because you like it if it didn't sell. That would also give you an idea of the work and value. My thought is they would be a $500+ item depending on the rarity of the front end. You could build one on spec and then offer to do them on order.
I finally got a chance to swim in our pool. There isn't really much swimming to it, its pretty shallow, and when you get started swimming, you already have reached the opposite end, but it was nice to finally put that investment to work.

Yeah- I have a cheep source for the front ends-- He doesn't have allot of muscle cars though-- F100 out the wazoo!
Curtis- I have heard that about most above ground pools-- they are good to have for the kids but for adults they just aren't "all that" -- I have heard of people putting folding chairs in them and sitting and visiting like a hot tub :-)
They make floating chairs that look pretty comfy. I was secretly hoping that I could do some exercise in it to strengthen my shoulders and arms. I have been having trouble with both recently and thought maybe some muscle tone would help.
