Shaping up to be a wet one this weekend. Had a dog bath appointment for Sat, just changed it to Sun hoping to be past the rain. Probably won't be, but he needs the bath anyway. My nephew is getting married tomorrow, and the rain is going to make that a messy affair.
Despite all the predictions to the contrary it's sunny out today, a little nippy, but the sun is out and the skies are blue.........for now! Hope everyone is doing great and staying dry!
I'll bet it's beautiful out your way right now...I love the desert after a rain.
Been meaning to ask you Gary...do they still show movies at the Sky Drive -In Theater? Is it even there anymore? I didn't see their sign on Old Woman Springs Rd. when driving past last week.

Yes, it is beautiful, just alittle windy, but I'll take that over the dark clouds and rain for now.
Smith's Ranch Sky Drive In, one of the few Drive-In theaters left I'm afraid, and yes they are still open and showing Thurs-Sunday. $5 for adults, $3 for kids. Alot of great memories as a kid going with family or friends to the drive in, running around irritating my sister and her boyfriend, swinging on the swings up front watching the dancing popsicle and ice cream commercials...........those were good times as a kid.
Used to be you couldn't miss it when driving by...I guess since the area around it has grown so much in the last few years one needs to look a little harder to see it. Either that or I'm going blind. Never went to a movie there, but we walked through the swap meet a few times.
Correction, I was thinking of the one in 29 Palms which is still showing movies, the one in Yucca Valley is now doing the merchant sales/swap meets only. oops!
