I see you and Indiana Joe are meeting for dinner this evening.
Yep. We had a nice dinner @ Lucille's and shot the bull for a couple of hours. Joe's one of the good guys. If you ever get the chance to catch up with him you should take advantage of it.
Morning Steve. If I can ever get to Carlisle (which will be tough, due to the time of year), I'd like to stop and meet guys along the way like you guys did. I think that would make for a very pleasant trip. BTW, won't hear me grumbling about the weather today, should be near 70 here.
Yep. Finally got a full jury late yesterday afternoon, once the defense used up all of their peremptory challenges. According to the judge it should be a 2 or 3 day case.

Ah, I see. I've been called about 4 times for that, but never been picked.
Oh, yeah...and 15 bucks a day on top of that! How do they stay in business....
I'm gonna donate my proceeds to the jury room fund. Maybe they'll use it to get a little faster internet speed for their computers. I did a speedtest on one and it was a blazing .13mbps. Couldn't even get FTE to load a page
I don't think most of the defense lawyers like my attitude!
It's long over so no harm in sharing....
Vehicular Manslaughter (I think was the charge), DUI, like the 7th or eigth time. So when they came to me to ask if I could be fair I told them yes, but I felt their client was guilty due to his history, and that to me was fair. AND THEY SELECTED ME! I was just being honest but would have never thought in a millikon years that with that response I would have been selected.
In the end it did not matter, they declared a mistrial. Dont know what ever happened to the guy, but he should rot in jail.
That is surprising. You'd figure the defense attorney would have bumped you for that.
Well, I'm done until next time. After the testimony of the officer that initially pulled this guy over (for speeding...in a Prius) and the DRE officer who gave the field sobriety test the defense attorney was able to convince the defendant that he was indeed guilty. He plead out, and we were dismissed.

The last case I was involved with was a child molestation case. This clown had been convicted of it before. The defense attorney asked me if I had any daughters, and I said yes. He asked if that would skew my judgement. I said no, but the defendents previous record would....and I was gone.
