Also I am sorting throught the mic connection. Something is not quite right with the connection instructions - I suspect they may be specific to non nav systems.
I added nav after the fact. This is where all my problems started.
Is the mic still connected? If it is can you disconnect it and then see if you get any of your funcionality back.
Ill have to do this tonight, but if I rememebr correctly, I had it undone last night and still had this issue. But i'm not 100% on that. Do you have any hunches? Is there a way to reset the BCM or something?
ok update, just went out and just cut the wires off in the glovebox to terminate the connection, but where i could solder them back easilty. Still no joy on the lights
No worries, that is good as it rules out a short if in fact the instructions are incorrect - now I want to get the ACM to trigger a couple of DTC's.
Okay here we go:
1) Start the truck.
2) Turn on parking lights.
3) Enter diagnostics mode on the nav screen by holding down 3 and 6 on the radio.
4) Exit the annoying speaker test.
5) Select "View DTC's" and record any codes. Go back to main menu.
6) Select "Configuration Status" and record the code - either a 0 or a 1. Back to main menu.
7) Select "Sensor I/O" Status and record what it says under "Illumination". Go back to main menu.
8) Select "Microphone Test" and report results of test. Return to Main Menu.
9) Select "On Demand Self Test" and report results. (This one might take a bit of time). Return to Main Menu.
10) Check the DTC's once again and record what is reported.
I'll explain the significance of all this once you have got this info. I am pretty sure I've got the diagnosis and solution but these tests will serve to confirm.

Okay good. Just looking at the data for your configuration status, their should be a config code for APIM. Usually it is the third line down right after the FES code on the first screen. Can you double check that again and see if it is there - it may be on a different screen (I think there are about 9 of them within the Config Status reports).
Ah ha a further clue - that's a good sign actually nigttime mode is a default mode thrown by the BCM when it detects problems with the interior lighting - I've got to run out for about two hours now but I'll be back.
Disregard the nighttime mode. I just covered my hand over the sensor and it changed. I had just dimmed the panel and forgot to bring it back up. But my power window backlight are still always on?
just to add some more of my own testing. I went and put the old OEM radio back in and tried the lights, nothing. tried the sync, nothing? Is that a good sign for what your thinking? Or is this bad boy goofed up big time? I mean, can the dealer figure this out if you can't? You seem to know everything to do! haha
