dash pad
my 72 f100 custom does not have a dash pad and i want to know what color the original one was so i can install one. the truck's interior is maroon with black door panels and white sun visors. any help will be appreciated.

I have a 71 which came from Ford as "Candy Apple Red". It had a red dash pad. I could only find black ones, so I got a black one and ordered some red vinyl paint and painted mine red.
Turned out nice.

My 1971 F100 is exterior two-tone orangish color and white. The interior metal is the orangish color It has black seat, door panels and white headliner and sunvisors. The dash pad is black (Original and no cracks

8NRay: I have a 1984 Chevy Pickup with a burgundy dash pad, unlike the much older Ford, the pad cracked a few years back, all I could find was black and I painted it with vinyl dark red, it looked good too back then, now it has turned an olive green and rubbing off. I guess I can repaint it. Hope you have better luck.
