This midwest freeze is doing some weird stuff to my truck. Twice now I have started at 7f (minus 10c)with no problems. But my heater blower and turn signals don't work. Then after an hour of running if I turn it off and back on again they start working! This is the second time this has happened in four days.
First things that come to mind is a reset signal going to the ecu that it is not receiving, can you shut it of after 15 or 20 minutes and start it back up to fix the problem or only after an hour?

Does the Key switch return to center when you let off of it? It sounds as if the switch is sticky when cold, and not letting it go back to center.
I'll second this.
Does the radio or other accessories have the same problems? I've noticed it a few times when the radio didn't come back on after starting (on while waiting for glow plugs, then off during cranking). Wiggle the key and its all good.
